Few matches to take note of this weekend.Mostly involve the Big Four

Tottenham Hotspurs VS Manchester United
This game is billed by Alex Ferguson as one of the most important away game in the first half of the season.Immediately after a Champions League game against Aalborg which finished 2-2 after Rooney saved Man U's blushes in the second half. This game might be the first time Berbatov goes to White Hart Lane after his deadline-day transfer to Man U(That is if he recovers from his injury)Man U might want a win as they are going to jet off to Japan for the Club World Cup to ensure they are not too far behind Liverpool. However they need to improve their finishing as they wasted a lot of chances to seal the win against Aalborg.Man U will have to play this game without the service of Wayne Rooney who picked up a yellow card last weekend.I predict Man U will edge Tottenham out 2-1.

Liverpool VS Hull City
Liverpool face Hull at Anfield after a victory over PSV in which Pool's youngsters shined. However with Torres sidelined with injury and Keane proving to be a 20 millon pounds flop. They might find the goals hard to come against a very physical Hull side.Hull has oso proved to be a surprise package in the EPL as they claimed the scalps of Arsenal,Tottenham and others in a fairytale like season. However they should find Liverpool's defence too hard to break down.My prediction:Liverpool to win comfortably 2-0

Now going to play FIFA Online 2.Update some other time

Some match results caught my eye when i was watching the CNA coverage of the US presidential Election this morning.I was shocked when i saw Roma wining Chelsea 3-1,Liverpool held by Atletico Madrid in front of the Kop.I thought it was impossible for Roma to get a decent result against Chelsea but once again that result put the message that soccer is unpredictable across.

Liverpool meanwhile is going through a purple patch after claming the scalps of Manchester United and Chelsea at Anifield and Stamford Bridge respectivly as the recent results prove.Liverpool's result after defeating Chelsea stands at 1 Win 1 Loss 1 Draw. This shows that Liverpool is a pretty inconsistent team, breaking the 80 odd game home record of Chelsea before grinding out a victory against Porthsmouth and falling to defeat against Tottenham. Now they hold Atletico Madrid with a last minute penalty awarded to Gerrard near the end of the game.

Anyway the US 44th president will be Democrat Barack Obama who has 349 Electoral Votes compared to Republican John McCain who has 147 Electoral Votes.

Found this advertisement(notice??) in The Straits Times on Monday.Found it funny to see a department in Singapore telling us not to watch shows on a particular channel. The notice also gives us a lot of information about the channel and the shows we are not advised to watch.Things like the primere date and the timeslot are included in the so-called notice. After scanning through the notice,i noticed at the end of the page was the word "Advertisement". I was confused, why would the notice be called a advertisement, and why will it be published in the Life! section instead of the Main section where notices usually appear?I was not able to get a answer so i went on the Net and search the name of the department. The result proved that the notice is actually a advertisement and there is no such department in Singapore. This might be a creative advertising idea or a lousy advertising idea, time will tell.

The past week was filled with surprises both in my life and the football world.

Tuesday:Post Exams Activity. Many of the boys who chose billiard ended up in archery instead of bowling which many chose. We went looking for Tom Chan when we found out that our name was not in the list of ppl going 4 bowling. However archery was quite fun.

Wednesday:Leadership course.I was so bored during that course and when the class needed to nominated ppl for the group,i was so damn confident that i will NOT be involved. However, due to some ppl who was complaining about the group,i was being included in the group.Sianz

Thursday:A Uneventful Day.Very Boring

Friday:Went Back to school to help teacher upload some things.Wasted my whole day in school.

Saturday:Quite uneventful. The surprise for me was that Manchester United drew Everton in the BPL.Wasted a glorious chance to close the gap on Chelsesa and Liverpool.

Sunday:A even bigger surprise.Liverpool defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 1-0,ending Chelsea's 80 over games unbeaten home record.Liverpool now look like geniune title contenders after defeating Manchester United and now Chelsea.I look forward tho thee remaining 29 games as i predict a 3-horse race(Chelsesa,Liverpool,Manchester United)for the Barclays Premier League.Another thing that shocked me was that Tottenham had sacked Juande Ramos after a disasterous start since 1912(the year Titanic sank) which sees them proping up the league table with just 2 points.

Another suprise happened 2day when i knew Harry Redknapp is going to replace Juande Ramos from Porthsmouth. The fee for him?5 million pounds. This might seem a lot but if Tottenham is regalated, they stand to lose as much as 30 million pounds.I look forward to May to see if Tottenham's gamble paid off or will it backfire.

I failed My Geog Class test

There are a few matches of note this weekend
Blackburn VS Manchester United
Chelsea VS Aston Villa
Sunderland VS Arsenal
Manchester City VS Liverpool
Everton VS Newcastle
Manchester United will be trying to close the gap on Chelsea when they face off with Blackburn.Although Blackburn is fresher compared to Manchester United,Man United have a higher chance of winning even though they had injuries to Scholes and Rooney, who might be replaced by Anderson and Tevez who are more than able to replace them.My Prediction:2-0 to United

Chelsea got a goalless draw against CFR Cluj in the Champions League and have a total of 8 players in the medical room. They are Drogba,Terry Carvalho,Deco,Essien,Cole,Alex and Joe Cole as reported in The New Paper On Friday. As they have a thin squad,i do not think that Chelsea is the favourites to win the match.Aston Villa will go into this match in a high after proceeding to the next round of the UEFA Cup.Without Deco,Chelsea's creativity will be crippled as shown in the past few matches. My Prediction:1-1

Which Arsenal will show up at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, the inconsistent Arsenal or the rampaging Arsenal will thrashed Porto and Sheffield United 4-0 and 6-0 respectively. However they managed to win Porto 4-0 but lost to Hull City last weekend. The team is strong enough to defeat Sunderland but they have a quality striker Dijibril Cisse who is able to put the ball in the net.My Prediction:2-1 to Arsenal

Manchester City will face off with Liverpool with both teams comming off wins in mid-week.However Liverpool's Robbie Keane broke his goalscoring duck against PSV and he will be looking to get more as his partnership with Torres continue will Gerrard Get his 101th goal or will Robinho get another goal to mark a remarkable start to his life in England. My Prediction:2-1 to Liverpool

The last match features two teams in crisis.Newcastle is second last while Everton is 14th.However,Everton just crashed out of the UEFA Cup in mid-week and Newcastle is having a horrid run after Kevin Keegan's shock departure. Will Owen save Newcastle or will Yakabu propel Everton to victory. My Prediction:2-1 to Everton

The Inaurgal F1 Night race will be held on Sunday.I look forward to watching the race on Channel 5 at 7.30pm.Lewis Hamilton will be trying to extend his lead over Filipe Massa in the race for the Driver's Championship. As this is a new track, the drivers will have to get used to the track fast or risk losing the race.I predict that Hamilton will edge Massa in this race as he is able to get used to a new track quickly and he is also more superior in the rain.

Anyway there will still be EPL matches this weekend.Matches worth the mention include:
Everton VS Liverpool
Manchester United VS Bolton
Stoke City VS Chelsea
Arsenal VS Hull City

These 3 matches are worth watching as they will make an impact on the title race.

Man United will want to get back into the title race after a draw with Chelsea by crushing
Bolton at Old Trafford who lie one place beneath them in the table.Man United will be buoyed by the goal Cristiano Ronaldo scored in midweek against Middlesbrough. However Vidic and Carrick will miss this match as Vidic is serving a 3 match suspension for the red card he received against Liverpool while Carrick will miss this game because of injury. The Score:2-0 to Man United

Chelsea will want to extend their unbeaten streak under Scholari by winning Stoke who held Liverpool to a goalless draw last weekend. However, the chances of a upset is minimal as Chelsea had just crushed Portsmouth in the League Cup in mid week and Frank Lampard is in sparkling form after notching a double in that match. The score:2-1 to Chelsea

Liverpool face off with Everton at Goodison Park to try to top the table as they are playing during lunchtime. However,Liverpool have a midweek game in the Champions League and Rafeal Benitez might not field a strong team.Liverpool fans have watched how their side fail to break down Stoke who put 10 men behinnd the ball. This match is more intersting as this is the first Merseyside derby this season and Livepool will want to get the bragging rights and win the match.Everton's current form is not too good as they lost to Blackburn in midweek. The Score:2-1 to Liverpool or 1-1

Arsenal will be in fantastic form after demolishing a experience Sheffield United side six nil despite sending out the youngest team ever with the averag age only 19.Hull City will not be pushovers as a good start to the season sees the currently in seventh place while other newly promoted teams like Stoke and West Brom are in the last 4.However Hull's chances of a upset will also be small as Arsene Wenger will be looking for all 3 points to gain a fine start to reclaiming the title they last won in 2003.The Score:3-1 to Arsenal

Lets enjoy both the F1 race and the EPL matches this weekend.

I hate 2 say this but as most of ur noe,Manchester City Football Club has been acquired by a ultra rich owner which deals in the sale of crude oil.We are helping the owner of Man City get richer when we buy petrol. There is nothing we can do except 2 hope that the new owner gets bankrupt. If not,we might be seeing something like this in the future:

  1. Manchester City
  2. Manchester United
  3. Chelsea
  4. Arsenal
  5. Liverpool

OR

Manchester City Buys Cristiano Ronaldo For

135Million Pounds
